The Best is yet to come

Long time no talk! It’s hard to believe we’re already a quarter of the way into the season.
This is the best start we’ve had since I’ve been a member of the Spurs, and the best thing is that we are nowhere near the
level we hope to be at in April when we start the playoffs. Some of us are a little banged up right now, but that has been
the case for the past few seasons at about this time. Once we get over this injury hump, we should feel better and continue
to press on. It’s a long season.
I know many fans hoped we would finish 82-0 this season, but that just doesn’t happen and it’s incredibly hard to be the
team that is always a target because you’ve won a championship. It is easy to get hyped up to play the defending champs.
Every night, no matter who we play, the opposition raises their level of play because they are playing the champions.
Everyday that goes by, our team is becoming more and more comfortable with playing Spurs’ style basketball.
I couldn’t be happier with the new additions to our team. Michael, Nick, and Fabricio are meshing well into our system and
will make us that much tougher to beat come playoff time, and they are all just really great guys.
Before I go, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and an even better New Year! I can’t believe it’s already
December. It’s amazing how quickly time passes. Thanks to everyone who has written in. I always enjoy hearing from
everybody, even if I don’t always have time to write back. Still, I look forward to seeing you at the game.
